CHENNAI:  A 37-year-old man in a de-addiction centre at Puzhal allegedly killed self in the wee hours on Thursday.

Police said that A Shaddiq (37) of Karayanchavadi, was admitted in the Rebirth Foundation de-addiction centre on June 13.  He was not able to undergo the process and decided to end life.

The staff found him sleeping at late night, but on Thursday morning he was found hanging with the lungi he was wearing.  The body was recovered and sent to the government hospital.
