Terming as fake the audio clips in which he was purportedly engaged in a conversation with a woman on the abortion of her daughter, Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar on Monday alleged that it was the handiwork of the family of VK Sasikala and TTV Dhinakaran to malign his image since  he had been opposing them for around two years.

The minister also said he was ready to face any test to prove that the voice in the audio clip was not his.

The minister’s denial followed after Jaya TV, owned by the relatives of Sasikala, leaked an audio clip purportedly containing a conversation between the minister and a woman discussing the conduct of an abortion on her daughter.

The audio clip went viral in social media.

“I have never engaged in such a conversation. It is a pre-planned conspiracy to malign my image,” Jayakumar added.
