Technical snag: Singapore flight grounded at Tiruchy

TIRUCHY: A Singapore-bound IndiGo flight from Tiruchy was grounded after it developed a technical snag on Friday evening.

The IndiGo flight, carrying 127 passengers, departed from Tiruchy International Airport for Singapore at 6:45 p.m. Seconds after taking off, the pilots detected some technical problems.

They informed the airport control room and grounded the aircraft around 9 p.m. The aircraft reportedly circled for nearly two hours before landing safely.

Passengers were accommodated at the waiting room at the airport waiting area. Arrangements were made to accommodate passengers who wanted to travel on an alternative flight.
