Sharmila’s Yatra in Telangana from Today

Express News Service

HYDERABAD: In an attempt to revive the party in Telangana, YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s sister YS Sharmila will kickstart her much-publicised ‘Paramarsa Yatra’ in Telangana from Mahbubnagar on Monday to console the families of those who died of shock following the sudden demise of her father and former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Sharmila’s yatra is being seen as the continuation of her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy’s unfinished Odarpu Yatra in the Telangana state. She will begin her tour from Kalwakurthi Assembly constituency in Mahbubnagar district and will be meeting 18 families in the first phase. After a short break, she would resume her tour in January and visit the other districts of Telangana.

On her first day, December 8, Sharmila will cover Irwen, Devuni Padkal and Veljala villages and  console three bereaved families. On December 9 she would visit Amrabad, Ettham, Kollapur villages and Pentlapalli, Chityala, Ranipet, Nandinne and Dharoor villages on December 10.

On December 11 she would visit Jurala, Konnuru, Kosi, Aminpur and Kodangal and, on December 12, she would visit four more villages before leaving for Hyderabad via Shadnagar. She will also console the families of Telangana martyrs and farmers who committed suicide due to power crisis.

Sharmila, who has proved herself as a strong leader in the absence of Jagan in the YSRC is once again making efforts to be active in politics after keeping away for some time.
