‘Credit for Telangana Goes to Sonia’

NALGONDA:  CLP deputy leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said the credit for the formation of Telangana state goes to Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi only.

Addressing a gathering at DCC office here on Tuesday, he blamed the TRS leaders for claiming credit for the formation of Telangana. He reminded that KCR with all his family members including grandsons met Sonia Gandhi at her residence in Delhi and thanked her for carving Telangana. The TRS government is giving tonnes of promises which are practically impossible to implement, he said and gave the example of the promise of three acres land to poor SCs which is practically impossible to implement.

He ruled out the rumours of his changing the party and stated that he would remain in Congress which gave political life to him. Clarifying on his frequent meetings with CM KCR he said as a son of the soil and association with KCR during agitation, “I am meeting KCR to develop Nalgonda constituency in all aspects.” He thanked KCR for giving assurance on the completion of tunnel and Brahmana Vellemla projects.

He said, after holding discussions with top leaders in Congress, he is ready to do a Padayatra for strengthening the party in the state. He predicted that in 2019 elections Congress will win and rule the state with the support of people. He urged the people to support Congress.
