Revanth Loses Cool, Throws Headphone

Express News Service

HYDERABAD: Snubbed, chided and not being allowed to speak on the floor of the House for his attack on TRS Nizamabad MP and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K Kavita, TDP deputy floor leader A Revanth Reddy on Thursday lost his cool and threw his headphone on the floor of the House and ran towards the speaker’s podium.

The incident happened when speaker S Madhusudana Chary did not allow Revanth to speak during a calling-attention motion moved by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on alleged irregularities in cooperative housing societies.

When Revanth Reddy tried to speak, TRS members raised loud protests demanding that the TDP leader be allowed to speak only after tendering an unconditional apology.

An enraged TDP leader lost his temper, banged his headphone on the ground and ran towards the podium. Sensing trouble, the speaker adjourned the House for lunch recess.

Revanth Reddy then walked back and left the Assembly hall along with his party colleagues for lunch.
