HYDERABAD: With just two days left for  counselling to begin for B category medical seats in Telangana, the Telangana Private Medical Colleges Association may have to search for a new counselling venue in Hyderabad as the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, refused to provide the venue and staff.

The Telangana Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association has announced that the counselling for B category seats in medical and dental colleges would be held on August 17 and 18. However, JNTU found the schedule clashing with that of special category medical seats which was also scheduled to be held on August 17,18 and 19 on the university campus.

Citing this, JNTU recently wrote to the convener of private medical colleges association and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and asked them to relocate the counselling venue of B category medical seats to any other place or change the counselling schedule.  The officials at the TSCHE blamed private medical colleges for announcing counselling schedule without consulting them.
