Maoist Couple Surrenders

SANGAREDDY:A Maoist couple, Raddaboina Swamy alias Janardhan and his wife Shamala alias Madhavi surrendered before Medak SP Sumathi in Sangareddy on Sunday.

Swamy was an illiterate and was attracted towards Maoist party in 2000 by the songs of Giraipally dalam commander Mallesham and his aides. He was in Giraipally squad for three months and committed two crimes on the direction of party superiors. After these incidents, the party shifted him to Nallamala forest.

During the talks with the government in 2004, Swamy acted as a guard to then party state secretary Ramakrishna. Later, he worked in the party’s technical team headed by Madhu.
