HYDERABAD: The state government has revised the fee structure for MBBS and BDS courses under management quota in private un-aided non-minority colleges. Orders to this effect were issued on Wednesday. While earlier, students had to pay Rs 2.4 lakh for the seat, now they have to shell out Rs 9 lakh for the same. The seats would be filled through MCET-AC test.
Also, percentage of management seats has been increased from the existing 10 to 35 per cent. This is done by dissolving earlier categorization of seats (B1,B2,C1,C2). Twenty five per cent of seats from C1 (NRI) category have been merged with B (Management) category. Now seats are divided under ABC categories.
Tuition fee is payable annually for five academic years. Students who were admitted into the course prior to 2015 shall continue to pay the same annual fee as had existed at the time of their admission till they complete their course. The students shall pay the same tuition fee for the entire course period, as paid at the time of admission.
The institution shall collect the tuition fee every year in advance only for that particular year.
According to the amendment made by the state government to the admission procedure in medical and dental colleges, 50 per cent of the seats under Category-A will be filled through Eamcet counseling. Under category-B, 35 per cent of the seats will be filled by managements of private medical and dental colleges based on MCET-AC ranks.
And 15 per cent of NRI quota seats will be filled by managements of the individual institutions.
Managements of every college including shall, immediately after allocation of A, B, C category seats, notify their respective websites to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences / Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Medical and Health Department of
the state government. They should also publish information regarding the same in two leading newspapers (one English and one vernacular)
The entire information regarding admission process to be followed by the management of the college for making admission against A,B,C category seats should be notified in the website.
