HYDERABAD:  The return of former Sangareddy MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy, popularly known as Jagga Reddy, to the Congress camp has given the grand old party to unleash a full-throttle tirade against the TRS government as evident by the fiery speeches of Telangana Congress bigwigs on Monday.

At a function organised at Gandhi Bhavan to welcome Jagga Reddy into the party in the presence of thousands of party workers which saw Congress leaders hitting hard against the TRS leaders for driving the new state into complete disarray and dashing the hopes of people.

Taking it to an another level, the Congress leaders predicted a doom for the TRS in the days to come and predicted a ‘good-time’ for Congress party in the state into an invincible force.

Jagga Reddy, who forayed into politics as a BJP municipal councillor in Sangareddy, later became an MLA for the first-time in 2004 as TRS candidate. After falling out with TRS, he tested his luck with Congress party and won in 2009. When he failed in his bid to get re-elected on Congress ticket in 2014, he shifted allegiance to BJP and contested Medak Lok Sabha constituency only to face another defeat.

After going into political oblivion, for sometime, he finally joined Congress on Monday.

Leading the Congress’ charge from the front, TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the ‘anti-people’ governance has reached its peak in the state. “Telangana people are vexed with the 15-month rule of TRS government and they are looking towards the Congress to act against the undemocratic rule in the new State,” Uttam Kumar Reddy told to a cheering party workers.
