KCR Goes Touristy With a Visit to the Great Wall

HYDERABAD: The delegation led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, touring China, visited the historical Great Wall of China and Tiananmen Square in China’s national capital Beijing, Sunday.

Before leaving for Shenzhen, the delegation reached Beijing which is known for its mix of modern and ancient architecture and culture.

FThe delegation visited Tiananmen Square which is a large city square named after the Tiananmen gate separating it from the Forbidden City. It is among the five largest city squares in the world.

Later, the delegation visited the Great Wall of China, built as a fortification to save the Chinese Empire from the invaders. Rao evinced keen interest to know details about the two places, their historical and modern importance, a release from the chief minister’s office said.
