Telangana Government Forms Committee on Film Awards

HYDERABAD: The state government has constituted a committee to formulate modalities, rules and regulations including nomenclature of the state film awards.

In the combined AP state, the government used to give away Nandi awards for best films, artistes and technicians. After the formation of TS, the government has not yet instituted its own state film awards. The name of the awards will, however, not be  Nandi.

Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce president P Ram Mohan Rao and secretary K Murali Mohan, film director Tammareddy Bharadwaja, film producers V Venkataramana Reddy (Dil Raju), M Shyam Prasad Reddy, N Shanker and Suresh Kondeti will be the members of the committee. Information and public relations secretary Navin Mittal will be the convener.
