Lyricist Anjaiah cremated

ADILABAD :The final rites of lyricist and poet Guda Anjaiah, who passed at Hayathnagar in Rangareddy district on Tuesday, were held at his native village of Lingapur in Dhandapally mandal on Wednesday. Family members, relatives and villagers took part in the funeral procession.

Balladeer Gaddar, R Narayana Murthy, Manda Krishna Madiga, Peddapally MP Balka Suman, Mancherial MLA N Divakar Rao, chairman of cultural department Rasamayi Balakishan paid their tributes to the departed soul.

Anjaiah, born on November 1, 1955, completed his SSC and Intermediate in Luxettipet government school and college. 

He was famous for his songs “Ooru Manadi Ra ee Vada Manadi Ra” which was translated into 16 languages. He played a key role in Telangana movement and his songs like the  “Ayyoniva Nuvvu-Avvoniva” have given boost to the Telangana movement.
