Dissatisfied over pending arrears by Telangana, opposition parties protest in assembly

HYDERABAD: Members of all the opposition parties protested inside premises of the Telangana State Assembly even after the adjournment, not content over the reply given by the government on pending fee reimbursement arrears.

Soon after CM K Chandrasekhar Rao spoke on the issue assuring that the pending arrears will be cleared, deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy adjourned the House without giving an opportunity to the opposition parties to seek clarifications.

Taken aback, the members of Congress, TDP, BJP, CPM and also the MIM sat in the corridors of the House in protest against the same.

MIM, which proclaims to be friendly with the current government, too lashed out at the government.  "It is a sad day for democracy," MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi said.

Reportedly, the opposition MLAs were inside the House even after 3 PM.
