HYDERABAD: Ridiculing KCR’s statement on the Miyapur land scam that ‘not an inch of land is transferred and not a rupee of the government is lost,’ the BJP state unit has termed the CM’s claim a joke.
The saffron party has reiterated its demand for CBI investigation into the scam and announced that it would bring the scam to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“If even an inch of land was not transferred illegally as claimed by the CM, why did the state government arrest five directors of Goldstone group and act against some lower-rung officials in the revenue department who were involved in the scam?

Why did it raid over 70 sub-registrar’s offices? How is it that raids on sub-registrar Rachakonda Srinivas Rao’s home yielded `14 crore of unaccounted cash? Why was AP MLC Deepak Reddy arrested?” BJP state spokesman Krishna Saagar Rao asked here on Wednesday.

“We will ensure that farmers who lost their lands and state which lost its revenue will get justice through Centre’s probe,” BJP leaders warned.
