HYDERABAD: With the Telangana Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam commencing March 14, the Board of Secondary Education Telangana State (BSETS) has assured students of uninterrupted power supply, water, toilets and even medical facilities across the 2,556 centres in the state.

“We have held meetings with the electricity board, TSRTC, district collectors and other government officials at both district and state-level and urged them to provide these facilities to students,” said commissioner R Surender Reddy.

The official also said that they have requested that electricity be provided not just at exam centres but also throughout the state until the exams conclude. TSRTC has also been requested to extend its bus services to remote areas.

It was highlighted during the press meet that nearly all government schools have the required infrastructure and for those which face any shortage, arrangements will be made by the DEO to procure the same from private schools.

In a first by the Board, the three Oriental Languages exams - Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian, paper I and II - as well as the vocational course exam, will be conducted at the beginning, unlike previous years when they were last papers.
