Teen dies in Telangana after thunderbolt causes phone explosion

The boy died after a thunderbolt struck near him while he was talking on his mobile phone during a sudden thunderstorm accompanied by hail at Ambaripet village of Telangana.

HYDERABAD: A teenage boy died after a thunderbolt struck near him while he was talking on his mobile phone during a sudden thunderstorm accompanied by hail at Ambaripet village of Telangana State. 
 
The victim, Yeshaboyina Mallesh (16) from Shaligauraram mandal, in Nalgonda district was watering plants at his family's lemon orchard in the village, when the thunderstorm began. His father immediately called and instructed him to return home.
 
The thunderbolt struck a spot near where Yeshaboyina Mallesh stood as he spoke on the phone, causing his mobile-phone to explode and killing him on the spot.
 
His parents rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
