NALGONDA: BJP national president Amit Shah claimed that the Centre had so far released `1 lakh crore funds to Telangana.“No government at the Centre had earlier released such huge amount of funds to Telangana in the past 60 years.

BJP is the only national party which has been lending a helping hand to the state ever since it backed statehood demand for the region,” Shah said, while addressing media at Nalgonda on Tuesday. He then exuded confidence that the BJP would rise to power in Telangana by 2019.

Earlier, as part of his second-day of his tour across Nalgonda district, Shah visited Pedda Devulapally village on Tuesday.

Addressing the booth level committee meeting of BJP workers, he said BJP is the only alternative for the TRS in the state.

In Peddadevulapally, Shah interacted with three families of the village and tried to know their problems.
