MAHABUBABAD : To give first-hand information and training about state-of-art technologies being practised across the globe in the field of agriculture and to make them economically strong, the Mahabubad district administration is sending about 46 tribal farmers to different agriculture research institutes and universities across the country.  This initiative has been taken up with the aim of acquainting farmers with improved farming techniques.

Through capacity building programmes, farmers would be exposed to various modern agricultural practices. The officials believed that the new information that farmers gain through these training sessions would make their daily farming activities much easier. It would also lead to an increase
in productivity and gain profits in the long run. “They would be given training in agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, vegetable, dairy and aquaculture,” said an official.
