HYDERABAD:The Telangana government on Monday told Hyderabad High Court that it has issued GO 21 and 22 on March 20 as per the guidelines of Medical Council of India for awarding weightage marks in place of reservation for in-service candidates, and for earmarking 50 pc of the PG seats in government medical colleges to All India quota.

Special counsel of TS A Sanjeev Kumar was making this submission before a division bench of ACJ Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice K Vijaya Lakshmi dealing with petitions filed by Dr M Vasurchana Reddy and 12 others, challenging above two GOs. The petitioners sought directions to authorities to make admissions to MD/MS/PGdegree/diploma courses as per GO 27 issued by state medical and health department.
