HYDERABAD: Narayana Junior College in SR Nagar refused to issue hall ticket to a second year Inter student Kavya Sri, over pending fee dues worth Rs 43,000.Warnings by TSBIE to all private and corporate junior colleges of stringent action if they delay or withhold hall tickets of students for any reasons, do not seem to deter these colleges.

With Intermediate exams just days away,  TSBIE on Saturday warned these colleges of strict action.
“The principals and managements of colleges were told not to withhold the hall ticket of any student for any reason.  If any such case come to the notice of the Board, action will be initiated against the college management,” Dr A Ashok, secretary of TSBIE,  said.

When Kavya was not given her card, her mother Sheetal approached college authorities.“I assured them that they can keep the certificates till the amount is paid and allow her to write the exam, but they did not agree. Kavya is a meritorious student and has scored 98.7 per cent in the first year exams. We don’t want one year of hers to be wasted,” said Sheetal, who runs a kirana shop along with her husband.
