HYDERABAD: Reiterating his party’s new slogan, ‘A vote for CM KCR is a vote for PM Modi’, state Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has been maintaining secret pact with BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
Claiming that KCR and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi are acting as “agents” of prime minister Narendra Modi, Uttam appealed minority sections of society to vote against the TRS, BJP and AIMIM in the 2019 elections. Speaking at an Iftar party he hosted at Red Rose Palace Function Hall in Nampally here on Tuesday on behalf of TPCC, Reddy accused the CM of backing all “anti-people” decisions of the Prime Minister.
“While Modi is harassing minorities and implementing policies which are detrimental to the interests of commoners, KCR is supporting him. For instance, KCR was the first CM to support the disastrous demonetisation move. He was also the first to back GST,” Uttam said.
When the CMs of other states were confronting the Union government to protect their respective state’s rights, KCR compromised on the his state’s interests, he alleged.
“In 2014, KCR had promised to raise reservation for Muslims in education and employment to 12% within four months of coming to power. Now four years have passed, but the promise has not been kept,” Uttam said.
