Three accused granted bail in TSPSC paper leak case

While Renuka is scheduled to be released on Friday, her husband remains in custody.

HYDERABAD: The Nampally court on Thursday has granted conditional bail to three individuals connected with the recent TSPSC question paper leak case. Renuka, who was initially apprehended, as well as Ramesh and Rajesh who were arrested during the later stages of the investigation, were granted bail.

D Renuka, a Hindi teacher in Mahbubnagar and wife of Lavdyavath Dhakya, another accused in the case, was charged with cheating and violating the Prevention of Examinations Malpractices Act. The case was registered by the Assistant Secretary (Administration) of the TSPSC on March 11 at the Begum Bazar police station. Renuka was listed as the third accused, with Praveen Kumar, an assistant section officer, and Rajashekar, a network admin being A1 and A2.

The court granted Renuka, Ramesh, and Rajesh conditional release on surety of `50,000. They were ordered to report to the SIT every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Additionally, the SIT was directed to seize the passports of the trio to prevent them from leaving the country.

While Renuka is scheduled to be released on Friday, her husband remains in custody. The ongoing investigation revealed that Dhakya allegedly sold the leaked question papers to several individuals for financial gain. The authorities are continuing their efforts to gather evidence in the case.
