HYDERABAD: Some landowners involved in a dispute in Vattinagulapally have refuted allegations linking Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, his family members and Raghava Constructions to the issue.

In a statement on Thursday, Avinav Shah, Akshay Shah and Sudhir Shah, co-owners of land in Survey No. 245 — also partly owned by Pallavi Shah, Radhika Shah and Priyanka Shah — said the matter was a long-standing family dispute concerning boundary demarcation and distribution across survey numbers.

Akshay categorically denied any involvement of the minister or Raghava Constructions, stating, “The minister and our family have no connection with the land dispute in Survey No. 245, and no development agreement has been signed with Raghava Constructions.”

‘Baseless allegations’

He termed allegations by BRS leaders that the minister was attempting to encroach on the land by misusing his position as “baseless and politically motivated”.

Avinav said he owns one acre in Survey No. 259 and described the issue as an internal family dispute being politicised.

He added that he has been seeking a land survey since 2020 and urged authorities to carry out demarcation as per court directions. He also denied allegations of threats or illegal road construction.

The landowners said the property has been with the family since 1969 and that a proper survey of the Survey Nos. 259, 245 and 262 plots would resolve the dispute.

Siddharth Gade, managing partner of NewGen Developers, clarified that his firm was only executing development work on land provided by owners and had no role in the dispute.

He said the agreement was with NewGen, not Raghava Constructions, and expressed concern over reputational damage due to what he termed false allegations.
