HYDERABAD: Wanaparthy MLA T Megha Reddy on Thursday lodged a complaint with AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge against senior Congress leader and Planning Board vice-chairman G Chinna Reddy, accusing him of making derogatory remarks against him and acting against the interests of the party.

Addressing the media after meeting Kharge in New Delhi, he said: “I had already lodged complaints with the TPCC and the party’s Disciplinary Committee against Chinna Reddy for alleging I secured a Congress ticket by paying money. Now, I have brought this matter to the notice of the AICC president.” He added that he would also approach AICC general secretary KC Venugopal and state in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan.

Alleging that Chinna Reddy was moving around Wanaparthy with BRS cadre and was working in coordination with former minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, he said that he had submitted a detailed report to Kharge on these issues. The MLA said he had also handed over an audio recording of Chinna Reddy’s remarks to Kharge, along with what he claimed were “pieces of evidence” showing his association with Niranjan Reddy. He urged the AICC president to initiate action against Chinna Reddy.
