In an official statement to the press, the makers of the Suriya-starrer S3 had conveyed that the film would henceforth be known C3, the first letter ‘si’ of the title Singam in Tamil. CE learns that the makers changed the title for tax exemption.
The third part of the Singam franchise marks the return of Suriya as Durai Singam. Directed by Hari, C3 stars Shruti Haasan, Anushka Shetty and Thakur Anoop Singh in pivotal roles. Produced by Gnanavelraja’s Studio Green, C3 will hit the screens on January 26 (for the Republic Day weekend) in Tamil and Telugu.
In an interview to us earlier, Hari had said the film isn’t a regular cop story, but there’s a difference. Also, he claimed theirs was the first film in India that has the same story line continued in the third part with the same set of artistes.
