Bobby Simha, who’s awaiting the release of Saamy Square, plays the lead in Agni Dev. The film will also have comedian Sathish in an important role.
Directed by John Paul Raj of Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2 fame and newbie Sham Surya, the film is based on writer Rajesh Kumar’s novel. The film went on the floors on Monday in Coimbatore.
John, who had developed the script when he was shooting for Chennayil Oru Naal 2, says, “My previous film (Chennayil...) was also set and shot in Coimbatore. I am not sentimental about the city, but the script demanded that we shoot there again.
The first schedule will go on till June 15, and the second one will get begin in July; both in Coimbatore. We’re trying to freeze Bobby Simha’s dates, as he will also be busy with the Karthik Subbaraj-Rajinikanth film in July.”
