Kavitha takes Bathukamma to London, celebrates with NRTs

HYDERABAD: Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi founder Kalvakuntla Kavitha participated in Bathukamma celebrations in London on Saturday.
As part of her visit to nine European countries to promote Bathukamma, and the state as an industrial hub, Kavitha on Saturday celebrated the festival by arranging flowers with non-resident Telanganites.
The MP had earlier participated in Bathukamma celebrations in UAE on Friday.
On Saturday, when Kavitha reached London, Telangana Jagruthi UK branch activists extended a rousing reception to the MP.  
Kavitha, along with NRI Telangana women, arranged Bathukammas with flowers at the residence of Telangana Jagruthi UK president Sampath Dannamaneni.
Meanwhile, she taught the non-resident Telangana girls in London the art of arranging Bathukammas. Lambeth city Mayor Saleha Jaffer, who hails from Telangana, participated in Bathukamma celebrations at East Ham in London. Indian High Commission secretary Vijay Vasanth and others participated too.
