PEDDAPALLI: Taking forward the investigation into the suspicious death of dalit youth Manthani Madhukar, Ramagundam police on Wednesday took six persons, including a sarpanch, into custody for questioning.  Ramagundam commissioner of police Vikramjeet Duggal placed Manthani CI A Prabhakar, who is facing flak from various quarters for his negligence in investigation, under vacancy reserved and attached to the Ramagundam commissionerate .

After receiving a complaint from the parents of Madhukar against CI that he was misleading case and  trying to side track the investigation, the CP attached him to VR and posted K Natesh as new CI for Manthani police station.

Meanwhile, Natesh raided the houses of some suspected persons in the case.
Meanwhile, the Kakatiya medical colleges forensic experts team will conduct an autopsy again by exhuming the body of Madhukar on April 7. It may be recalled that suspecting the previous report, parents of Madhukar demanded an autopsy of Madhukar again.
