Looks like Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s dream of being part of Telugu and Tamil remakes of Pawan Kumar’s U-Turn is finally coming true.

The director has found a producer to invest in the projects. What’s more interesting is that these remakes will mark the directorial debut of Pawan in Tollywood and Kollywood.

In March 2016, City Express had reported that Samantha was interested in being part of U-Turn remakes. She had even visited Bengaluru, along with Naga Chaitanya, and watched a preview cut.
She had discussed with the director about the remake.

Our source says, “The producer has been finalised and Pawan is yet to sign the dotted line, before he makes the official announcement. The director is happy to work with Samantha and make his mark in other languages.”

Pawan will share more details of the project once he gets a green signal. Meanwhile, the makers are in search of the right star cast for the remakes. If everything goes as planned, the film will go on floors either in April or May.

U-Turn, being one of the much acclaimed films in Kannada in 2016, had a successful run and completed 100 days at the box office. The film featured Shraddha Srinath in the lead. The others in the cast include Dilip Raj, Roger Narayan and
Radhika Chetan.
