It is fashion that keeps Delhi’s social life alive. It was once again witnessed at the showcasing of designer Urvashi Kaur’s new collection ‘Ziran’ that finds its inspiration from the Xining province of China. Use of Indian handloom like Chanderi and Matka silk was dominant in Urvashi’s collection in indigo and black was fashionably accentuated with traditional Shibori, tie and dye and block-printing craft.

A devout promoter of Indian handloom, Jaya Jaitley and designer Ritu Kumar graced the occasion. Surprisingly, even the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, was spotted soaking in some fashion. Also present were David Mathews, GM of The Oberoi, Mohini and Sanjay Guleria, Sailaja Tahiliani with her friend Patricia Dhar, and designers like Deepika Govind, Jenjum Gadi and Jai Gupta.
