Amid tensions at the border, Pakistan’s high commission in association with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations hosted a three-day cultural exhange programme, Shaan-e-Pakistan. The cultural bonding between India and Pakistan involved fashion, music and culinary delights.

At the event’s final evening, a fashion show was hosted with a few top Indian designers like Poonam Bhagat and Raakesh Agarval showcasing their creation alongside Pakistani designers like Sahar Atif, Umer Sayeed and others. Bollywood glamour in form of Evelyn Sharma and Aditi Gowitrikar enlivened the evening. Qawwal Amjad Sabri enthralled the audience with his baritone voice and chefs Gulzar Hussain from Pakistan and Osama Jalali from India treated all with delicacies.

At the evening, we spotted Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit, the Minister of Trade in the Commission, Muhammad Irfan Tarar, Congressman, Mani Shankar Aiyar with his wfe, actor Javed Sheikh, Huma Nassr, the curator of the event and restaurateur, Deepak Khattar.
