NEW DELHI: Putting an end to the worries of students aspiring to get admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Delhi University, the varsity has plans to provide assistance to students for appearing in online entrance test.

Earlier this month, the varsity had announced that it would hold the test online. Since then, the RSS-affiliated student organisation Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has been holding protests, alleging that students coming from rural backgrounds and not well-versed with computers will face difficulty in taking the test.

A member of the admission committee said that training would be provided free of cost at varsity’s online examination centres across the country. Also the number of centres is being increased from six to 12. The varsity will engage a group of experts to impart computer education. DU is planning to outsource the whole process of online entrance. Tenders for the same have already been floated.
