Youngsters must keep vigil on hypoxia to avoid delay in Covid treatment: Dr Aravind S | Expert Talk

In 2020, 29,114 children below 12 were affected. In 2021, six months down, close to 50,000 children have been infected. While there is an increase in cases among all sections, there has been a rise in cases among children and even deaths of people in their early and mid-20s, who have no comorbidities. In this second wave, issues like the newer #Covid19 variants affecting youngsters, Happy Hypoxia, delayed admissions, and delayed roll-out of vaccination for 18-44 have sprung up. In a conversation with The New Indian Express, Dr Aravind S, Consultant, Department of Paediatrics & Neonatology, MGM Healthcare throws some light on the various subjects.
