Fuel rates fall as Centre slashes excise duty; Imran Khan lauds India for cutting prices

Petrol price was slashed by Rs 8.69 a litre and that of diesel by Rs 7.05 per litre on May 22 in New Delhi. This comes following the government's decision to cut excise duty on auto fuels. The govt had announced a record Rs 8 per litre cut in excise duty on petrol and Rs 6 reduction on diesel on May 21.
