Bheemili Beach in Visakhapatnam is glowing blue; Bioluminescence explained

A few days ago, five M Tech students from Andhra University stumbled upon glowing blue waves at Bheemili Beach in Visakhapatnam. The videos of the rare occurrence went viral after Vizag Weatherman, a city-based blogger, shared them on social media platforms such as Twitter. The question is, how did the wave start glowing blue?

The blue light emitted by the waves is caused by a process known as bioluminescence.
