Rajya Sabha passed the Waqf (Amendment) Bill with 128 votes in favour, 95 against, a day after Lok Sabha approval. Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju stated that the Bill, seeking an amendment to the Waqf Board, would not harm Muslims but instead benefit them greatly.
