A political tug of war is intensifying in Karnataka as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar remain at the centre of growing leadership speculation.

Siddaramaiah said he is willing to continue as Chief Minister if the Congress high command wants him to, adding that any decision on a leadership change lies entirely with the party’s central leadership.

His remarks came even as Shivakumar’s supporters flew to New Delhi, signalling rising internal tension.
