Congress leader Rahul Gandhi once again reiterated the party's promise of full statehood to Puducherry. He made the poll promise on a campaign trail amid the upcoming elections in the union territory. Rahul accused the BJP of running the UT against the will of the people by sidelining regional leaders. He also claimed that the BJP wants Puducherry to belong to businessman Gautam Adani.
