Artemis 2 crew becomes the first humans to travel farthest distance from Earth

The Artemis 2 crew completed a fly-by of the moon on April 6, setting a new record for traveling the farthest distance from Earth. The four astronauts, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, Pilot Victor Glover, Commander Reid Wiseman, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, travelled 406,778 kilometers from Earth. The crew captured never-before-seen views of the Moon's far side.
