THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the 28th anniversary of the Kerala Kalakendram, it has announced its 11th annual awards given to eminent Malayalees in various fields. The Global Excellence Award-2010 will be awarded to Rev Baselios Mar Cleemis, Major Arch Bishop of Thiruvananthapuram.
The Golden Honour award-2010 will be shared by Lalu Samuel, Managing Director of Clipsal Middle East Sharjah, AK Ravi Nedungadi, president and CFO of UB Group Bangalore, AV Dileep Kumar, Heilbronn Bronn Group Dubai and KP Abdul Hameed, Managing Director Al Muftah Group, Qatar.
The Sreeratna Award instituted by Kerala Kalakendram will go to Meena Narayan, Editor-in-Chief, Gulf Connoisseur Magazine, Dubai.
It’s a committee comprising Vinod Thomas (Director-General, World Bank), lyricist Bichu Thirumala and K Anandakumar (Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi former-secretary) who selected the awardees.
The award consists of a citation and gold-studded statuette. Awards will be presented at a function to be held at Mascot Hotel on December 12 at 5 p.m, by Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma of Travancore royal family. Ministers Binoy Viswam, V Surendran Pillai and Congress leader K M Mani will be present.
