Priyamani in horror flick

The award-winning actress is starring in a multilingual horror flick to be directed by Sandalwood filmmaker Pon Kumaran.

Priyamani, who was last seen in Kollywood in 'Raktha Charithiram', is set for a comeback with a project titled 'Charulatha'.

Sandalwood filmmaker Pon Kumaran, who earlier worked with K Bhagyaraj and K S Ravikumar, debuts in Tamil with this movie which will see Priya play a dual role. The National Award-winning actor had been staying away from Kollywood for a while, citing lack of interesting offers.

'Charulatha' is an adaptation of the Thai horror film 'Alone' (2007) that had Thai-German pop singer Marsha Wattanapanich in the lead. 'Charulatha' is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Globus One Studios is producing the film in Tamil. Malayalam actor Skandha plays the lead, while Saranya Ponvannan and Seetha play important roles in the movie. Sundar C Babu will score the music for this film.
