Express News Service

HYDERABAD: YSR Congress Party Paderu MLA D Eswari on Tuesday alleged that Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha had forged signatures in her nomination affidavit in the last polls. Eswari complained to State Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal against Geeta and urged him to take action against her.

Bhanwar Lal assured her that he would order an inquiry into the issue and if the MP is found guilty, action would be initiated. He said that he would write to district Collector of Visakhapatnam to inquire into the issue and submit report within one month.

Eswari said that the MP had submitted fake documents at the time of filing her nomination papers in the elections. Eswari complained to the CEO that Geetha was not an ST woman and that she had submitted fake documents to get party ticket. She said that she had got the copies of nomination papers of the MP through an RTI application.

Eswari reminded that Joint Collector Mangapati Rao submitted a report in the past stating that Geetha does not belong to ST community.
