HYDERABAD: The Mucherla Pharma city will be developed on the lines of China’s pharma city.

Industries minister Jupally Krishna Rao has instructed TSIIC and roads & buildings officials to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) on laying a 200-foot-wide road from Srisailam Highway to Mucherla Pharma City in Rangareddy district. He also wanted them to consider other  routes from Outer Ring Road to the pharma city. Officials assured him that they would  submit proposals within a week.

Krishna Rao held a meeting with district joint collector Rajath Kumar and Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Ltd managing director Narsimha Reddy and other officials.

The joint collector assured the minister that an extent of 3,500 acres of government land assigned to Deccan Infrastructure Land Holding Limited (DIL) would be resumed by the end of October. He also assured that the acquisition of patta and forest lands would be processed further. This puts the pharma city project on a fast track.

Krishna Rao asked ILFS to finalise the expression of interest (EOI) to prepare a master plan for pharma city, duly taking into consideration the features and plans of the China Pharma City.

The minister said Mucherla Pharma city should be world-class
