GUNTUR: The Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) officials have taken up a massive campaign to promote Pura Seva App by distributing pamphlets among students, teachers, officials, traders and other sections of the society. The revenue department employees are creating awareness on the App among the denizens, especially Residential Welfare Associations, apartment owners and college managements.
The GMC officials are also providing Wi-Fi on the corporation premises for the benefit of denizens. They are redressing the civic problems as soon as the denizens lodge a complaint on the app.

Denizens can lodge complaints regarding water supply, street lighting, public health, sanitation and other issues on the Pura Seva App. Denizens can use the App for paying taxes, besides lodging complaints. As many as 91 municipal services are available on the Pura Seva App.
The municipal officials stated that majority of complaints lodged on Pura Seva App is regarding water problems, drainage, sanitation, street lights and illegal structures.

They said that Guntur district received 5,261 complaints in two months, of which 1,069 complaints are filed by the denizens in Guntur city. The rest of the complaints are filed by denizens from Tenali, Chilakaluripeta, Mangalagiri, Bapatla, Piduguralla, Narasaraopeta, Macharla, Sattenapalli, Repalle, Ponnur, Vinukonda and Tadepalli municipalities.The GMC officials have been assisting the denizens to download the Pura Seva App from Google Play Store and explaining about its usage to them.
