Filmmakers and technicians to hold sessions on new trends in Sandalwood from November 11

BENGALURU: The movies that were released over the last year in the Kannada industry have been experimental. Aatagara by K M Chaitanya; Rangitaranga by Anup Bhandri; Thithi by Raam Reddy; First Rank Raju by Naresh Kumar; Godhi BannaSadharana Mykattu by Hemanth Rao; Rama Rama Re by D Satya Prakash; U Turn by Pawan Kumar have all taken a new approach to entertainment.
These movies were brought in by technicians who have explored new avenues in script, screenplay, direction, cinematography, music and lyrics.

In an attempt to provide insights into latest trends in cinema and understand its significance in filmmaking Thrayi is facilitating an informative workshop on film appreciation.
The workshop titled ‘Thrayi Drushya’ hosts renowned directors, script writers, screenplay, cinematographers and musicians, lyricists from the Kannada film industry, who will share their inputs and throw light on the present scenario during the discourse.

The workshop is scheduled to be held from November 11 to December 2 at Kapanna Angala, JP Nagar.  The objective of the workshop is to provide insights and platform for film makers to film aesthetics in alignment with the current trends.

The workshop will have sessions on direction and screenplay, script writing, cinematography, and music composition and lyrics. It is designed to meet the needs of aspirants through workshop and interactions with renowned scholars and help them elevate competency by channelising their skills in the right direction. The evolution and conceptualisation of cinema has been witnessing transformation over the years and this will be reflected at the sessions.
