What Does Coca-Cola Do to Your Body Within an Hour?

TNIE online desk

In his website 'Truth Theory' Niraj Naik  shows how coca cola harms the internal digestive system of the body within an hour. Coca cola contains high fructose corn syrup, which has the same impact on liver as the ethanol found in alchohol does.

Naik shows that it completes the sugar intake of the body for the entire day and the liver turns it into fat after the process of sugar boosting. Due to this, blood pressure rises as liver pumps more sugar into the blood. This sudden change in sugar level of the blood will increase the dopamine level just as much as any heroine would do.

The can of Coca cola also contains phosphoric acid which can bind calcium, magnesium and zinc in the lower intestines.

One hour  after all these processes takes place, the consumer's urine takes out water from the soft drink, as well as, essential nutrients. caffeine's diuretic properties induce urine and strips off the body of calcium and other nutirnts.

Speaking to the Huffington Post, Naik said, "My first piece of advice to them [his customers] would be to do a simple swap," he explains, "Replacing fizzy drinks with water and fresh lemon or lime juice."In many cases just doing this would have a dramatic effect on their health." It's important to note that fructose isn't all bad, specifically when it comes to fruit.

"Unless you have diabetes, it is difficult to absorb too much sugar from eating whole fruit because whole fruit has fibre, writes the Washington Post. "Fibre slows down the digestive process by releasing sugar into the bloodstream at a slow and steady rate."

Naik said that he quit his job as a pharmacist after overcoming an chronic auto-immune disease that he was told would keep him on certain medications his entire life. He now tries to help people taking long-term medications get off of them, The Blaze notes.

Naik also says that high fructose corn syrup in soft drinks leads to obesity. Children are particularly prone to obesity related diseases.

But Dr Joanna McMillan, speaking to www.essentialkids.com.au says, Naik's article is a nice idea but not entirely true. "A 375ml can has about 9.5 tsp of sugar so that part is true…and that is the major problem. "Combined with the acidity of the product this is a nightmare for dental health before we even come to weight concerns. It's also an additional 675kJ which you probably don't compensate for by eating less." Fructose research is conflicting and McMillan says it's not all converted to fat.
