BANGALORE:  The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has postponed its final round of counselling for postgraduate (PG) medical seats by a day. "As RGUHS counselling for medical seats is still in progress, COMEDK is constrained to announce that the counselling for PG medical seats (PGET2011) would be held from May 31 at 9 am" stated an official release.

On Monday, the COMEDK conducted the counselling for PG dental seats. "As per the directions of the High Court in line with consensual agreement with the government and based on the seat matrix submitted by the colleges, we have allotted seats," said Kumar S, executive secretary, COMEDK.

"The seats allotment made today to the PG courses in dental colleges are as per the directions of the Honourable High Court of Karnataka.

All the colleges to which allotments are made are kindly requested to admit the students so as to avoid possible contempt of the High Court. A consolidated list of candidates admitted to all colleges, coursewise, will be sent to RGUHS after the conclusion of the counselling," said A S Srikanth, chief executive, COMEDK, in a statement.
