Sambharama Saurabha, an organisation which has been rendering various services in the field of Kannada art, literature and culture has come forward to celebrate this year’s kannada Rajyotsava through P B Sreenivas’s melodious songs.
‘Sambharama Saurabha’ has invited Kannada’s senior and popular playback singer Dr P B Sreenivas and in his presence ‘Gana Saurabha’ programme will be
carried out.
This programme is arranged at Central College’s Jnana Jyoti auditorium from 3.30 pm onwards on Sunday, November 13.
Every month on the second Sunday ‘Sambrahma Saurabha’ has been arranging cultural programme of different art forms. Till date it has arranged 87 such programmes. Cine songs are a way to show special appreciation for the Kannada land and language, particularly in cities like Bangalore. “P B Sreenivas songs are such that you keep listening to them for ever. Hence it is our belief that, ‘Gana Saurabha’ will appeal to Kannadigas’ hearts’”, said Sambhrama Saurabha organisation chief Sri Sanjeeva Kulkarni.
Singers like L N Shastry, Hemant, Anuradha Bhat and M D Pallavi will sing selected, ever haunting and popular melodies sung by Dr P B Sreenivas. 82-year-old singer Dr P B Sreenivas will also be honoured on this occasion.
