BANGALORE: Unidentified miscreants entered a temple by breaking open its door lock and escaped with cash kept in a hundi.

The incident was reported at Yellamma Devi temple in Sadaramangala in Kadugodi police station limits in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The miscreants gained entry by breaking the door lock. They also broke open the hundi and decamped with the cash kept in it.

The amount of the stolen cash is yet to be ascertained. The theft came to light when the temple’s priest came in the morning, the police said.

Kadugodi police have registered a case and are investigating.
